I co-founded The Black Cloud Gallery with three partners in Chicago’s Pilsen Arts District, a lively, walkable hub of galleries, studios, and performance spaces that drew strong crowds—especially during the popular summer First Friday art crawls.
The gallery showcased a range of Chicago artists across painting, multimedia, and sculpture, with a brand identity inspired by street graffiti to reflect both the grit and beauty of the work. In addition to the exhibition space, we operated an on-site retail shop.
We produced monthly themed exhibitions highlighting emerging artists and built a broader community presence through events and programming. Our marketing efforts spanned email, digital and print advertising, and social media, helping grow our audience while supporting the artists we represented.
